Shops turn over. We keep three corridor rumours, not a “best in Shanghai” list. FFC and Jing’an: Western rooms and barber fades — ask if they actually cut that texture, not whether they speak English. Gubei: Japanese cut and colour. Hongquan: Korean perm density, hygiene varies; ask the parent group that month. African hair: ask the chamber or church. Do not send anyone to a mall chain as an answer. Children’s cuts: many Western rooms refuse — ask before you go. Villa belts are thin; accept a city trip or a club that is still open.
