Kids & family days

Disney, science, parks, rainy-day saves

The Home88 angle

Beyond Disneyland: the aquariums, science museums, climbing gyms and parks that fill a Saturday, sorted by age band and weather — with notes on stroller access and English availability.

Disney, science, a rainy hall

Indoor days out when the forecast turns

Shanghai Disney Resort publishes its own site — tickets there or on Trip.com English. Weekdays beat weekends; Science and Technology Museum official English: 2000 Century Avenue, Metro Line 2. Ocean Aquarium official contact: 1388 Lujiazui Ring Road. Strollers work in new halls and fail in old lane-house museums. None of this moves a German or French campus. Pudong families go more often. Qingpu treats it as an expedition.

Housing Century Park and Lujiazui leases walk to science or fish. Huacao does neither without a plan.

02

The nurse wants a booklet, not a story

China’s national schedule and a home-country record.

International schools ask for a verifiable record at intake. China runs a national immunisation schedule (CDC 2026 edition). Foreign children also bring a home-country programme. The two booklets often fail to line up in week one. Community health centres book the Chinese programme; private international hospitals give imported shots on a self-pay or insurance path. Translate the home record into Chinese and English before term. Ask the school for a written list, then book. Rabies and trauma are an ER path, not the nurse’s desk. A Suishenban electronic record is common for residents; whether a foreign passport pulls one is a window question that day.

Housing The clinic follows the lease. The school bus still comes first.

  • China CDC — national childhood schedule (2026)

    Check availability

Official programme and the 2026 PDF. Open the file; we do not paste the table. Ages and co-administration change when they reprint.

Housing A school-intake fact. Never a corridor veto.

Hours, doors and rooms move. Confirm on the official page the morning you go. Rankings are a date, not a personality.
