Shanghai’s jazz line runs from the 1920s rooms to working clubs. JZ Club is the city’s synonym — the official about page still prints 46 Fuxing West Road; Jiefang Daily and other 2024 reports put the room at 8 Hengshan Road after the Julu years. We keep the conflict on the card. House of Blues and Jazz sits on Fuzhou Lu near the Bund in English listings; its own site is not a source we trust. The Peace Hotel Jazz Bar is a Fairmont page, visiting parents, hotel prices. Midweek is when you can hear a solo. Friday volume often wins.
Housing Xuhui and Hengshan leases treat these as neighbourhood. Qingpu treats them as a planned night after the French or German school day.

Touring pop and ice shows go to Mercedes-Benz Arena — official English site, 1200 Shibo Avenue, Pudong, Mixing Room live house inside. Classical sits at the Shanghai Symphony Hall, 1380 Fuxing Zhong Lu, the building nicknamed wonton skin; the municipal culture bureau publishes that address. Damai is the mainstream ticket app. Live-house domains die; trust the venue name on the ticket, not a 2018 blog. Rolex Shanghai Masters tickets live on the tournament site, not in this jazz paragraph.
Housing Qiantan and Expo leases walk to the Arena. Hengfu walks to the symphony. Huacao does neither without a plan.
